I Remember. . .

Posted by Unknown on 22.30 in ,

I will tell about my first English teacher and all of things I remember in the past about my experience when learn English (suddenly I miss her so much T_T)

Well, her name was Siti Chalimah. We called her Mam Siti. She was an English teacher in elementary school where I attended. She was so pretty and kind to me (of course with all of her students too). The way she taught us was so great (even until right now I still follow and remember everything that she taught, honestly she's my best teacher all the time), sometimes she gave a small test to us according to the material and often I got top score and active in the class but I also ever once got 0 score and caught reading comics in the middle of lesson time -_-

That time, I really loved English subject. She always asked us to brought dictionary. My first dictionary was so small and old but that dictionary really helped me a lot to learn English for the first time. But gradually I kinda troubled because it's so small and I need more vocabulary to improve my skill. I really wanted dictionary like what Mam Siti used (John M. Echols and Hassan Shadily's English-Indonesian dictionary) so, I asked again and again to my father to buy it (back then it was so expensive). Fortunately, my father bought that dictionary, even until now I still use it well although it looked old but it's okay that dictionary was big helper that related with my English experience (back then I always panicked and helpless when I forgot to bring it at English subject periods although I already borrowed another dictionary from my friend)

I thought I started interest in English because I often saw and heard my older brother learn English and maybe because I liked to learn other language (example : Japanese and Korean).

Everything's still so fresh in my mind. To me, that is my most beautiful memories and I'll never forget it
